3 of the big ones are NUS, UNiDAYS and Student Beans and each of them have a different offering. We get asked a lot whether there is an Office student discount through these schemes so we’ve done some extensive researching so we can answer your questions properly!

So basically if you are a NUS student then you can get an Office student discount as described above.
However, there is no NUS Office scheme at the moment for students to save. This includes not being included in the NUS Extra card scheme.

4. Office Sales Diary & Alerts
Even though there is a Office student discount code, this is not valid for Office sale items and it is actually possible to make bigger savings just by shopping at the sales page. We’ve seen big brands included such as Converse, Puma and Adidas.
Also we keep our squirrel eyes open so any big sales will be in our fabulous savings section. Take a look and see how much you can save.
The biggest sales happen around the same time each year. Check the dates below as if one if coming up it might be best to hold on.
Black Friday & Cyber Monday
We love Black Friday at Office and they usually go for a 20% discount code off everything.
While not the biggest discount, we love the fact that it is across all footwear and not just a small selection.
It happens in the last week of November and is well worth holding on for.
Boxing Day & January Sales
There are some big sales on around Christmas and they kick off with up to 50% off. Usually they start a couple of days before the 25th, then on Boxing Day there are further reductions and even bigger ones nearer New Year and January and we’ve seen up to 70% off..
We recommend that if there is something you want then get it as soon as it’s in the sale as it might sell out.
Spring Mid-season & Easter Sales
Around the end of March Office have a mid-season sale and also something for Easter too.
We’ve found that they have a good 50% sale on selected items, and then add additional discounts of 20% on sale items so you can get up to 70% off. This is one of THE best times for students to bag a bargain, although remember your student discount code won’t work on sale items, but who cares, you’re getting a great bargain anyway!
5. Best Buys
Top Buy: Birkenstock Mayari Cross Strap Sandals – £59.99
A modern and less clumpy take on the classic Birkenstock sandal, the Mayari cross remain a backless sandal with the typical chunky cork soles and footbed, suede lining and coloured straps, but these straps cross and feature an adjustable buckle.
Available in a variety of colours and designs, these sandals can be more easily dressed up or down and make for a more diverse sandal than the classic Birkenstock shoe shape.
Top Student Buy: Vans Old Skool Classic Trainers – £56.99
THE skate shoe of years past, the Vans Old Skool low-rise sneaker is back and makes for a design classic to accompany any sports casual or leisurewear outfit, whether or not you’re actually hopping onto a skateboard!
These canvas trainers are extra comfy with rubber soles and the tell-tale Vans checkerboard design along the sides (available in a range of colours and shades). Old Skool Classics are intended to be male sneakers but realistically are unisex.
Top Buy: Havaianas Top Stripe Logo Black Camo Flip Flops – £17.99
The classic flip flop brand of Brazil, Havaianas have been around since the 1960s and show no signs of becoming less popular any time soon: they’re currently the most worn flip flops in the world, with 200 million pairs sold around the world every year!
These black camo basics come in men’s sizes and are entirely synthetic for cushioning and comfort.
They’re a little smarter than the more colourful varieties and don’t include the typical Brazilian flag on the strap, sticking inside to more formal and industrial black tones.

More About the Stores
Far from just focusing on office wear and formal footwear, Office Shoes is a British high street shoe retailer that can be found in shops and concessions throughout the UK. Synonymous with their smart and basic white and blue wording logo, the brand is well known for its sleek white interiors displaying a range of own-brand and third-party label shoes.
Having grown from just concessions in department stores to opening their own shops and now having achieved global domination with 160 shops across Europe and concessions in the US, Office can be found on many UK towns and cities’ high streets. Staff in each store are highly trained in footwear and footcare, and the London HQ of the brand is full of business developers and shoe designers who help ensure that the brand moves with consumer demand and the latest in footwear trends.
Despite the name, Office’s range today (online through their e-commerce platform and in stores) covers men’s shoes, women’s shoes, trainers and sportswear, children’s shoes and collections of various branded shoes; including Hunter, Clarks Original, Converse, Fred Perry, Reebok, UGG, Nike and New Balance.
If you’re shopping for cheap shoes, you may not think to step into an Office store – but budget brand shoes are often a false economy. You need footwear every time you step outside, and so it’s important that even if you’re not forking out big for designer labels that you invest in shoes of a decent enough quality that they will last you a decent amount of time and stay looking tip top throughout wear. This is where Office fits in nicely: premium brand shoes at high street prices. Add on a standard 10% student discount as well as free UK delivery for anyone at university, and you’ve got yourself a great deal!
Office’s sizes range from children’s collections and three through to twelve. If you struggle to find shoes that fit you in store, we’d recommend visiting the online shop to browse the Sales section of the site: this often offers money-off promotions on items unsold in stores and there’s some brilliant deals to be found. The OFFCUTS Outlet store is a haven for fashion footwear fans, and if you’re a sneaker-head, it’s worth looking into the brand’s spin-off trainer store, OFFSPRING.
Whether you’re looking for sandals, flip flops, trainers, heels, boots or formalwear, Office will have something for you. If all else fails, nip in store to chat with their highly qualified staff and get your feet measured professionally so you can be sure to stay comfy no matter where it is you choose to make your footwear purchases.
Office started life as a concession in the larger Hyper store on Kensington High Street back in 1981, and the brand continues to operate in many concession spaces today. The brand name was derived from the lack of resources that the company had initially: meaning that they needed to display their stock on old office furniture due to a lack of funding for typical footwear point of sale material!
The first stand-alone Office shop opened in 1984 on Chelsea’s Kings Road, and was an immediate hit despite being a little cheaper than many other retailers in the area. This popularity spread country-wide, and by 2014, there were over 100 stores outside of concessions in the UK, as well as almost 50 concessions in larger shops.
In 1996, the OFFSPRING sports footwear brand was launched and still exists today. Two other sub-brands, a gentleman’s club known as Poste and a premium footwear boutique called Poste Mistress, followed suit, but didn’t prove as successful and were later closed.
Office was purchased by Tom Hunter of the West Coast Capital Group, who also owned the likes of USC and Travelodge, and in 2015, was sold to South African clothing retail specialist Truworths for a whopping £256 million!
For fashion footwear and trainers then Schuh has a similar offering with a student discount.
If it is more sports and urban trainers then JD is the place to go and they’ve just introduced a discount. Footlocker also has a wonderful choice of brands and Footasylum is the new competitor on the block.
