WHSmith Student Discount

Great news, there is a 10% WHSmith student discount now available. To get it you need to go to the student page on whsmith.co.uk, validate your student status with a Unidays or Student Beans and you’ll be issued with a 10% code. Enter it at the online checkout and your discount will be applied. Sometimes it increases to 20% so look out for that.

If it’s your first order then you can sign up to the WHSmith newsletter and get 10% off.

Also, make sure you take a look at the clearance page. This is where students can get the biggest discounts. We saw reductions of up to 80% and there was lots of stationery included.

Is There a WHSmith Student Discount Today?

Yes there is a WHSmith 10% student discount in 2024. To get it follow these instructions:

1. Go to the special Student Beans page
2. Validate your student status
3. Generate your special student code
4. Enter the code in the promo code box on the WHSmith online checkout
5. The 10% discount will be applied

There are still ways that students can save more. The first thing you can do is check out our savings section in this guide at the top of the page. Unidays WHSmith and Other Official Student Savings Options

We get asked whether there is a WHSmith student discount through the big student discount schemes in the UK including the NUS Extra, Unidays, Student Beans.

The Student Squirrel has been doing the research so you don’t have to and this is what he’s found.

Is there a WHSmith Unidays Discount Available?

At this time of writing (April 2024) there is now a 10% WHSmith Unidays code. Generate your Unidays code on the website and enter it in the promo code box at the online checkout.

Is there a WHSmith NUS Discount Available?

No, we’re a bit confused about the answer to this question. On whsmith.co.uk there is no mention of an NUS WHSmith discount.

However, on nus.org.uk they state that there is 15% off all art materials. We’ve got a sneaking suspicion that this is now out of date but if you have an NUS Extra card and are in-store and are buying art materials then, by all means, show your card and ask for a discount. If you don’t ask…

Are there WHSmith Student Beans Discounts Availableble?

Yes there is a 10% Student Beans code in the UK. So long as you are 16 or over and in full-time education or even an apprentice then you can get the code.

Make sure though that you do check out the WH smith offers page though as all the deals should be located there.

WHSmith Promo Code, Vouchers and Discounts – Ways to Save

Throughout the year WHSmith promo codes and WHSmith vouchers are released. We update any new codes in our savings section at the top of this page so make sure you take a look.

What we love about WH Smith voucher codes is that you don’t need an NUS id to prove your student status. They are available to all. You just shop on the site and when you come to the online checkout, just pop in the discount code and you’ll receive your special saving.

WHSmith Sales – Yearly Overview

Did you know that the biggest savings that students can make is when there is a big sale on. We keep our squirrel eyes open so any sales will be in our fabulous savings section. Take a look and see how much you can save.

The biggest sales happen around the same time each year, these are a great time to save money. Check the dates below as if one if coming up it might be best to hold on.

WHSmith Black Friday and Cyber Monday Sales

As well as having deals on the day, on Black Friday and Cyber Monday WHSmith usually included a voucher code to save £5 off spends over £30, or £10 of spends over £50.

We also saw good savings on stationery, books and tech like Apple Air Pods.

It’s one for the best times of the year for students to save money.

Boxing Day and January Sales – Both In-store and Online

Another time when you can get the best discounts at WH Smith is the Christmas winter sales. There are initial discounts of up to 50% but later in December, they can increase with WHSmith discount codes.

However, our tip is if what you want is reduced then buy it there and then as it may sell out and you’re still getting a great deal on a huge range of items.

WHSmith Store Overview, History and Buyers Guide

Now a whopping 225-years old, WHSmith has the experience to know a thing or two about stationery. Alongside this core range of products, they stock books, magazines, music, cards and gifts, computing products and electronics. There’s not much you need as a student that you won’t be able to find either in one of their stores (there’s 600 of them on British high streets and in Universities, and 600 in rail stations, bus stations and airports!) or online through their e-commerce website.

WH Smith is home to a huge range of stationery, which is where the chain’s focus has been historically since it branched out from a humble newsagent. Whether it be notebooks, pens, folders or specialist art supplies, you’ll be able to find them at WH Smith, so they have you covered for all things to do with your uni work. Expanding more to fit consumer’s modern technological tastes, you’ll also be able to find anything extra that you need to go with your laptop or tablet, such as anti-virus software, batteries, and chargers.

WH Smith are fab – they often have 3 for 2 sales on stationary in store… always worth looking out for!

Despite their prevalence on campuses across the country and their product range so perfectly tailored to students, there’s no current permanent student discount at WH Smith.
